Avalon Biometrics SL and its prime contractor  Urjafuture/India  concluded successfully a live enrollment pilot project (MVTBPL) to enroll families  below the poverty line into a register. The pilot project used mobile terminals from MaxID, operated by  enumerators of Urjafuture, and captured each and every family member with 10 fingers, photo, bio data, GPS location and household statistics.

In 04/2010 Avalon finished the development of its entirely new Secure Border Management Suite (SBMS), developed completely in WPF and J2EE, highly scalable and fully customizable, with a parallel architecture to optimize processing times and is the most comprehensive COTS border management solution available in the market nowadays.

In 03 / 2010 Avalon received an order from the Forensic Labs in India for a Mobile Border Control Suitcase, fully featured with ruggedized & splash proof casing, trolley for easy transport, laptop, travel document scanner, fingerprint reader, high resolution webcam and forensic equipment for document examination.

In 02/2010 Avalon finished the development of its new Mobile Application Range. The device independent software features support for identification services (MVT), mobile enrollment (MVTE), mobile voters registration & verification (MVTV), mobile police tasks (MVTP) and mobile secure border management system (MSBMS) for handheld devices running on Windows CE 5/6 & Windows Mobile 6.

In 01/2010 Avalon finished the development of a ANSI / NIST KIT ITL 2007 & 2008 dedicated to their Law Enforcement & Public Sector customers searching for interoperability and compliance to international standards and normalized data exchange.  The ANSI / NIST KIT supports all common ANSI / NIST record types and XML formats.

In 10/2009 Avalon received an order for its VeriDoc Bank System by a Private Banking Group in Switzerland for their branches. The system is mobile and features a high-end automated document verification, document repository and a forensic reference system of around 1600 documents in phase 1 and customized reporting in phase 2.

In 10/2009 Avalon released its VeriDoc Bank System dedicated for banks to fulfill their due diligence process and reduce the risk of identity fraud by automating the system and document verification processes and being able to handle various control lists with configurable business logics, i.e.  for credit allowance checks or checks against blacklisted people that are not allowed for a loan or service of the Bank.

We are proud to announce that Avalon Biometrics SL received the official FBI certification for our WSQ (Wavelet Scalar Quantization) encoder. The certified encoder is used within all our modules where fingerprint capturing, archiving and matching is inherited and assures a proper file handling according to international standards.
