Data-Loop Ltd. was established in 1966 by the present Managing Director, Douglas Howard Lord, to represent British manufacturers of specialised electronic equipment in the Eastern Bloc countries of Central and Eastern Europe, and later China.

From 1966 until 1990, Data-Loop sold to industry and research centres such products as data-loggers, XY plotters, transient waveform recorders, teletype machines, LCR bridges, Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), PCB assembly equipment, electrical calibrators and multimeters.

In the wake of the collapse of the Eastern Bloc, the market focus changed to improvements in the infrastructure of the Central and Eastern European countries looking forward to European Union membership. This comprised of improvements in air quality, noise control, road traffic management and border security.

In August 2003 Data-Loop Ltd. gained BS EN ISO 9001:2000 status, recognising the quality of our administrative and management systems.
