Pyralon is Avalon Biometrics Methodology Framework for the implementation of large Information Technology solutions and projects. Pyralon covers all components and phases of those projects. Within each component and phase Pyralon describes the work packages to be performed and the deliverables to be created as a result of the work packages. Special emphasis is given on tangible achievements, defined by milestones for each phase, to strengthen planning and controlling.
Pyralon consists at its core of a pyramid of components and 2 life cycles. The Pyralon Methodology looks at every phase of the life cycles by applying the required pyramid components to carry out the necessary tasks to implement a certain project. Pyralon is a method for initiating, motivating, planning, designing, implementing, deploying, managing, coordinating, operating and transferring large scale IT projects. The ultimate goal is to achieve success and a satisfied customer. Every project/customer shall be a reference. Key Features
Complete Life Cycle Coverage
Pyralon takes the approach to cover projects throughout its entire life cycle, starting from pre-sales consulting all the way to the transfer of a system. Pyralon distinguishes itself herewith from other known methodologies and frameworks used.
Communication and Partnership
Pyralon encourages a co-operative partnership between customer and project integrator, prime contractor and systems integrator. It greatly reduces formal specification, provides for active user participation at almost every step, and builds and maintains consensus on a daily basis. Pyralon fosters a win-win relationship where goals, benefits, and risks are shared.
Pragmatic, Results-Oriented Method
Pyralon is designed not to conform to academic theories, but to work in practice. It seeks and employs methods that get results. Any activity or work product that is unnecessary to implement large scale IT projects will be eliminated.
Pyralon Project Life Cycle
The Pyralon Project Life Cycle covers all phases of large scale IT systems and projects as outlined below. Each phase describes the components to be used and the deliverables to be created.
Pyralon Project Management Life Cycle
Project Management addresses the planning, staffing, monitoring, controlling, and concluding of all project phases. Project Management applies management discipline to control the schedule, cost, risks, configuration, and quality to ensure that the project delivers the expected results.
Pyramid of Components
The pyramid of components consists of 10 aspects which will be evaluated and applied at each and every phase of a project and major documents.
