Description:

BioCapWeb is a Browser - Based Live data capture solution developed using XBap technology that allows embedding of .Net / WPF code into Light applications to run in Web-Browsers. It can be easily operated on the fly with a standard Internet Browser without the need for heavy client installation or complicated deployment. The user only has to connect the desired peripherals to his computer and access the BioCapWeb homepage to launch an extensive DataCapture process.

BioCapWeb builts on our technology from BioCap rich client application and its proven software architecture Annwyn. The solution contains various modules which can be combined and administered by the user to form a certain workflow, on a certain workstation. The Built in Quality Assurance Measures, controls and functions for all biometric data assure the storage and use of photo and fingerprints according to the international standards like ICAO, ANSI/NIST, FBI, etc. The backend application server has all the services built in to provide the entire business logic for a document register, a civil register or even a national population register. XAML Browser Applications (XBAPs) are programs that are hosted inside a web browser such as Firefox or Internet Explorer.

Hosted applications run in a partial trust sandbox environment, and are not given full access to the computer.Starting an XBAP from an HTML page or vice versa is seamless. Although one gets the perception of the application running in the browser, it actually runs in an out-of- process executable different from the browser. As of the release of .NET Framework 3.0, XBAPs only run in Internet Explorer. With the release of .NET Framework 3.5, they also run in Firefox after installing a XBAP extension.

Palm Capture

Right Palm, Left Palm, Left and Right writer Palm. Outputs: BMP, WSQ, JPG, JPEG2000.

Signature Capture

Dynamic cropping of signature image according to ICAO specs for specific document. Output formats JPG, BMP, JPEG2000.

Face Capture

Automatic “eye finder” on live video image, dynamic cropping according to international standards based on eye position. Additional quality checks & live quality measures, of taken image as ICAO specs: Face Found, Eyes Located, Brightness, Verification, Head Size,
Head Tilt, Head Position, Red Eye, Overall Quality. Output formats: JPEG2000, JPG, PNG, BMP, etc.

Archive

Within the archive module we enable the operator to scan with an A4 scanner or document scanner all supporting documents that are part of an application and link them to the transaction and the data record in the register.

Demographics Capture

Totally customized according to customer requirements. Dropdown list boxes for fast data selection from catalogues and field data validation.

Summary

Displays all data capture on a summary view that can be print as a receipt and for applicant acceptance. Output formats: PDF.

Issue

The Issue module supports the hand out of documents to applicants, where the transaction barcode or number is read and the transaction is retrieved and displayed and can be send to a printer.
