The phenomenon of forced migration both internally and beyond its borders, is a classical example of a refugee producing country. Putting an end to years of international isolation and providing status as a refugee - producing country, countries signed the United Nation Convention and the Protocol relating to the status of Refugee problems.
These international conventions required countries to formally recognize and provide protection to people classified as refugees. These laws become effective and continue to be a countires primary piece of legislation governing asylum seekers and refugees in the country. The Refugee & Deportation system provides the framework, tools and solutions for coping with these events and handling effectively the legislations respecting the governed laws of the specific countries.
• The BioCap Deportation and Refugee System centre consists of a central system that functions as the Refugee Population Register (RPR). The central system can interface with Smartcard Card Management Systems (CMS) & a PKI to produce Smart ID cards, and the AFIS system to retrieve and check biometric data and secure the integrity of the central register.
• Refugee smart cards can be produced i.e. centralized or decentralized and distributed to the different refugee offices. The system provides an interface with the Visa and Entry Stop list system as part of the Movement Control System (MCS) to determine if the person has been listed, thus preventing the person from entering the country at a port of entry / border crossing point.
• Unlimited amount of local sites can connect to the central site, and these sites can service an unlimited amount of workstations. In addition, the system can be accessed by various authorities related to these process via a web-interface to view and amend information.
• As the system is i.e. distributed with a central repository, it allows both immigration and deportation to effectively control movements of people at all Border Crossings, and also prohibit unlawful persons from entering the country, thereby increasing the efficiency of the corresponding departments in charge.
