Avalon again invited to ICAO New Technologies Working Group (NTWG)

Avalon Biometrics as one of the world leader in Border Control and Automated Document Verification is proud to announce that it has been invited again to the ICAO New Technologies Working Group (NTWG) in the area of “providing Reliable Verification of travel Documents” with another world’s first.

Avalon will introduce the world’s first true high resolution passport scanner with 1040-1500 DPI, which was produced and delivered in a joint development with Regula Ltd. to Avalons customer in December 2010. The scanner and the accompanying software for it, allow for the first time to visualize and automatically verify Micro text in travel documents with a passport scanner. It is also capable of capturing and transmitting true high resolution images to a forensic expert for expert advice and decision from a distance.

The presentation is taking place this year from 06-10.06.2011 at the European Commission, Joint Research Center in Ispra Italy.
