Avalon Biometrics is proud to announce that it has been chosen as a European Finalist for the “Global Security Challenge" competition, organized by OmniCompete for our innovations in the document verification & security arena. The Global Security Challenge (GSC) is a competition and forum for security innovators, start-ups and investors. It provides every year a valuable launching pad for security innovation and is awarding funds to entrepreneurs and researchers within the technological security technology field. The mission of the GSC is to stimulate technological innovations that make airports, cities and enterprises safer without encroaching on civil liberties and leveraging promising upcoming technologies. The key-stakeholders and sponsors of the GSC are i.e. BAE Systems, ONR Global, TSWG from the Department of Defense of the USA, MIT Enterprise Forum and Nauta Capital, amongst others. This year, the organization has received a record number of entries from more than 20 countries, so Avalon´s proposed R&D and Business Plan project has achieved a remarkable success according to the officials: only 5 European SMEs companies have been selected for this Regional Final that will take place in mid-late September in Tel-Aviv, Israel. < Innovating Security in the Public & Private Industries />
