Avalon Biometrics SL as one of the leaders in mobile identity management and turnkey solutions is proud to announce that it has released the initial version of the worlds ‘first commercial available Mobile NFC Document Checking & Identity Management Suite, called ID2GO, intending to revolutionize mobile identity validation and background checking services and transforming the current mobile NFC market in a powerful platform for law enforcement and for governmental organizations with a fully integrated end-to-end turnkey solution.

The system is being developed in Java for the Android platform and will be ported to all other popular mobile systems on demand, including iOS and RIM.  It is planned to be released in the Android App Market beginning of 2012 as a free application with its very basic features.

The application leverages NFC technology of smartphones, PDAs & latest generation of tablets and is capable of reading ISO / ICAO compliant contactless documents directly with the smartphone including the support of inherited authentication schemes.

The application in its initial version supports, Login and User Authentication, Service Selection, Document Details Entry (for performing BAC), Document Reading, Summary Screen with basic verifications in a fully featured workflow.

The next version to be released by the end of 2011 will be saving all captured data as interoperable ANSI / NIST ITL 2008 files and being able to send it to external sources via email or integrated secured Web Service for validation and central control & watch lists checks.  Additionally it will be possible to take a picture of the data page and send it along with the data record and extract all information via OCR automatically with a built-in correction facility.  The application will take a facial Photo of the document owner and send it together with the document data as part of the NIST file and optionally use it later for face recognition against the Photo of the RFID chip.

Afterwards the support for certificate handling & renewal with support of Extended Access Control (EAC) and Passive Authentication (PA) will be added, alongside of a fingerprint module with support for fingerprint capture, quality assurance and matching against the fingerprints stored in the travel & id document.
